With my recent addiction to free out-of-print Games Workshop miniatures games, I had a recent hankering to play that most popular of OOPs from our Overseas friends. That's right Space Hulk! The problem is that the rules are not online anyplace I can access. Unlike Digganob, though, there are alternatives to either finding an accessible .pdf or just being out of luck. While I have found mention that both GW and Boardgamegeek.com have both had the rules .pdfs posted in the past, neither do currently.
So, I just needed to be a little more resourceful.
Enter the Space Hulk Bible. I got mine from here .
Now the cool thing about this version is that it includes pretty much every rule made for Space Hulk, including Psykers, other races (yay, Eldar!), different types of Tyranids, Power armored Space Marines, and even Imperial Guard. No Tau, unfortunately, but as mentioned in an earlier post, I was planning on using my Battlesuits as 'counts as' Terminators anyway. So no harm, no foul. The only big downside to the Bible is that it is so inclusive that it makes it somewhat difficult to understand the very simple core mechanics of the game.
That's where Sulk comes in...
Now, apparently this is a computer game that imitates space hulk, but it tells the basics of the game. It can be found here. Even though it is a computer game, it details the rules mechanics of how the game works; Turn Sequence, Shooting, Close Combat, etc. Not real complex, but it is a good primer, and once you know the basics from this, it makes the contents of the Space Hulk Bible a lot more understandible.
