Howdy all, once again I hope you are all having a fine morning! Fall is in the air, Thanksgiving is nigh, and the Tanksgiving countdown is grinding along with the inevitability of, well, a Tank. Today sees another installment from the Command & Conquer Red Alert series, though this time from across the lines in the Soviet Army.
#13: Soviet Apocalypse Tank
Oh, the Apocalypse. It's mighty cannons, missile launchers and quad tread units are a few of my favorite things. When Red Alert 2 came out, and we learned that the Soviet Super heavy tank was called the Apocalypse rather than Mammoth, we were initially distraught, but the Apocalypse soon put paid to those concerns. It remained much the tank we remembered it to be.
Its cannons are some of the hardest hitters in the game (after France's Grand Cannons, I believe), and its missiles are no slouches either. This combination makes it a match for most foes, even in superior numbers. Once the tank became experienced, the tide shifted even further, with special shot effects and speed increases. If the apocalypse had a downfall, it was that it was SLOW. All capitals.
