The Art Of The Space Crusade Rulebook Part 1

The year was 1990. A great, but oft overlooked game called Space Crusade came out. It was a sort of a mix of the very popular Hero Quest, and the more grim and complex Space Hulk. In a very short rulebook which sought to not only instruct the players but tell them a little background into the Warhammer 40k universe in which the game was set, the bulk of the internal artwork took the form of a charming and very simplistic comic book.

As I have been playing this quite a lot with my kids, and flipping through the old, old, rules. I have come to appreciate just how cool the little story included in the rules was.

Yep, it's the Space Fleet era ('91) Gothic Battleship.
They're pretty rare as Space Fleet was a pretty obscure game, even then. They did make plastic version for a starter game who's name escapes me at the moment (it was a companion to Ultra Marines).
