Kantai Collection - Kancolle - Anime First Impressions

So, not enough to be a full fledged review, we are now two episodes into the anime adaptation of the 'Big In Japan' browser game Kantai Collection (also known as KanColle). It's been a bit of a mixed bag. The first episode was action packed, with prominent appearances by several fan favorite ships, like Akagi, Shoukaku, Kaga, Shimakaze, and all of the Koungou sisters (esecially my main kanmusa Kirishima). There was a sad lack of Tenryuu, however.
The second episode is rather what I was expecting from the first episode, that is, a great deal of character exposition and explanation of what a Kanmusa (ship girl) is and what is expected of them. It was a bit of a gear shift from the more exciting first episode, but not necessarily a bad thing. Hopefully episode three can return to the previous pacing. That's the thing I want most from this anime, consistent expansion, good pacing, and an expanding list of cool ships appearing.
Oh, and give me more Kirishima. She's the best.
