Happy New Year - Gaming Plans 2018

Hey all! Happy New Year from the crew here at All Things Fett.

Not only is this from the Holiday Special, not only does it tie in with the name of the blog, it ties in with point #3 below. Efficiency!
I actually have had some things percolating in my head for what I want to do on the gaming front for the new year, and figured I could sort of outline them here for posterity. I've never really done this before, but I wanted to have something I could look back on in a year and see how I held to it.

  1. REDI. I do plan on doing more solo sci-fi gaming with the Robo Gang of Vague Mantis Squad. I just have too much quality material and effort invested in them to not want to spend more time in that pseudo utopian setting. Plus, the last poll dictated that I need to have them fight an army of gingerbread men (people? how would we tell?), which not only is something I can do, just goes to show what a wacky and wonderful readership I have. I love you guys.
  2. Jousting. While this has not had a ton of feedback, I am still intending to run my tourney using the Flailsnail rules I mentioned some weeks back. I might save this for playing with my kids, because while I had some ideas about how to automate the enemy, it's probably not worth the work.
  3. Space Hunter! Inspired by things like Predator, Boba Fett, and Xcom, I have been thinking of cobbling some sort of alien bounty hunter solo game together from Big Game Hunt. It's a fun simple game, with enemy actions driven by playing cards, so it can be run solo fairly easily. I might have some shots of possible hunters up shortly, or longly, if my laziness holds.
Anyway, TTFN for now, and here's to another great year of gaming!
