Thrift Store Haul Part I - Jaru Tanks and Mini Men

My son had some 'mystery' army men he got from a relative a while back that sparked a curiosity in me (they featured in the Wargaming Without Me post a few days back). Someone in my army men facebook group was actually able to ID them as Jaru made, which is good, because that sort of thing drives me crazy otherwise. Just when I had about given up on finding them local, and ordering them for $7 a bag off of Amazon, I found them in a cool second-hand store in the town I work at.

Now, as you gather from the title, this is only part 1 of the great stuff I found at this cool store. But, long have I searched for the source of the off brand Timmee tanks which once formed my mighty armored divisions! It was nice to find them again.

The figures themselves are a little undersized from what I consider proper 'army men' which is 54mm. These diminutive gents miked right at 45mm. It doesn't sound like a big difference, but it is, really. Fortunately, Junior Fett liked the scale better for his military vehicles (which are more...matchbox sized?), and was willing to swing a trade. So I got my tanks and normal sized guys too!
