Smash & Grab On Ishikab Pt 3 - Bounty Hunter VI

In the last installment, Bounty Hunter & co. despite a poor start due to bad grenade placement and poor timing for initiation of hostilities, wiped out the armor patrol with small arms and anti tank rockets. shortly thereafter, they eliminate the bulk of the Quick Response Force.

All that's left are the building's posted guards, who wither under the heavy fusillade.

Several, who hunkered at the reinforced doorway, are eliminated by a rocket.

No quips this time, Rondel III just saw his elite guard annihilated, and surrenders quietly.

That's it for this time, ladies and gents. This session was a bit irritating for me, if you couldn't tell from the tenor of my writing. Junior Fett, usually a fun and friendly opponent, had a bout of poor sportsmanship in this battle, and repeatedly cheated, used resources he had already exhausted, used jetpacks he didn't have (except he added them to the figures, which he reckoned meant it was within the rules), and generally got huffy if everything he tried didn't work just because he said so.

We will be using a different, and more strict, rules set for the subsequent games.

I've been enjoying reading these. Thinking of doing something similar with my grandson with lego Minifigs. Trying to decide on a rule set. He isn't quite old enough yet, so I might need to do some solo play to "test things out". : )

It's definitely worth it! Though this one was a bit tougher, in general its a lot of fun and we both learn things each time. One rule set that seemed to have some traction with my Jr. General was Future Wars - The Kingdom of Evil. It's super simplified 40k, basically, and can be had on the free wargames rules wiki. I'm thinking of going back to it, because as I said, the Ishikab Job was...challenging with the Jr Fett.

Thanks for the tip, I'll look into Future Wars! Looking forward to your future posts. : ) I've gotten on a big lego minifig kick lately (they opened a Bricks and Minifigs store near me) so need to put them to good use!
